In today’s episode you hear my conversation with Dorothy Littell Greco. Dorothy is the author of two books on marriage, the most recent one, Marriage in the Middle, is one I’m grateful to have read. Dorothy’s bio is a first person account; here is Dorothy introducing herself:
“I’m a story-teller. Sometimes I use words and sometimes I use images. I pay attention to what happens on the sidelines and in the margins. I feel compelled to challenge hypocrisy, mend broken systems, and reveal beauty. Practically speaking, that means my work is fiercely honest and sometimes confrontative. I am like cilantro: you either really appreciate what I bring to the table—or prefer to avoid it. My goal is to point readers and viewers toward hope and healing.
My writing has been featured in Christianity Today, Missio Alliance, Common Good, MOPs, Relevant Magazine, Christians for Biblical Equality, The Mudroom, Sojourners, Biola Center for Marriage and Family, Christine Cain’s Propel for Women, Perennial Generation, and The Englewood Review of Books. Making Marriage Beautiful, my first book, was published by David C Cook in January of 2017. My second book, Marriage in the Middle, was published by InterVarsity Press in September of 2020.
Past and present photography clients include: The National Geographic, New England Home Magazine, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Yankee Magazine, Mass General Hospital, Harvard University, Boston University, Knopf Publishers, Lexington Christian Academy, Boston Trinity Academy, Arnold Arboretum, Houghton Mifflin, and many more. My husband Christopher and I have been married for 31 years. We have three grown sons and two amazing daughters-in-law. We love kayaking, walking, traveling, seeing great theater, and talking about faith with friends.”
